Biography
Dr. Andrew Siekanowicz is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with over three decades of experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Based in Silver Spring and Greenbelt, Maryland, Dr. Siekanowicz brings deep clinical expertise, compassionate care, and a rich background in sports medicine.
A graduate of Georgetown University and Georgetown University School of Medicine, he completed his general surgery internship at Columbia University’s St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center and a prestigious orthopedic residency through the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens, affiliated with Cornell and Hospital for Special Surgery.
He went on to complete a Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy fellowship with renowned mentors Drs. Robert Nirschl and Frank Pettrone — during which he cared for NFL players, collegiate athletes, and professional sports teams.
Dr. Siekanowicz is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS). He continues to provide high-quality orthopedic care while mentoring younger physicians and staying actively involved in sports injury research and prevention.
