What Is Shoulder Arthroscopy?

rotator cuff

Shoulder arthroscopy is a minor surgery using a small camera and special instruments placed through small cuts in the skin to assess and treat joint problems. This method enhances accuracy, minimizes damage to nearby tissues, and ensures a notably quicker and less painful recovery when compared to open surgery.

Elite

Ortho, often performs shoulder arthroscopy for various issues:

  • Rotator cuff repairs.
  • Labral repairs.
  • Bone decompression.
  • Nerve releases.
  • Soft tissue releases.

Since arthroscopy uses small incisions along with advanced tools, most procedures can now be performed as outpatient surgeries with minimal scarring and post-operative pain.
